Using interactive technology to bring office spaces into the 21st century
SMART Technologies announced today that David Martin, co-founder of the leading global interactive whiteboard company, will be speaking at WorkTech09 conference on 24th November at the British Library, London. His presentation will focus on improving effectiveness in the workplace through innovative future technologies.
WorkTech is a forum for those involved in the future of work and the workplace. Now in its 6th year, the annual conference will look at the implications of convergence between the worlds of technology, real estate, work and the workplace.
In addition to his role as Executive Chairman of SMART Technologies, Martin is an internationally recognised authority on distance collaboration and is the author of many articles and papers on the subject of working and learning at a distance. The session, entitled SMARTer Working, will be chaired by the BBC Technology correspondent, Rory Cellan-Jones. Other speakers who will present in this session are Philip Vanhoutte, Managing Director of Plantronics EMEA and Lesley Gavin, BT Groups' Chief Futurologist.
David Martin comments, “Technology associated with the traditional meeting room is changing. SMART provides a unique combination of technology tools that gives users the freedom to work with their colleagues anywhere, anytime – with any digital device or application. This is the freedom that defines a new generation of collaboration.”
SMART Technologies will be demonstrating the latest interactive technologies for the 21st Century office in Room 1 of The British Library. Haworth-Europe, the world market leader in the design and production of office areas, will be displaying with SMART in the creation of a dynamic working scenario. Visitors will be able to see how interactive technologies are replacing the traditional flip-chart and dry-erase whiteboards to create more efficient work spaces with products that enable more productive meetings and collaborative work
